Details: The 2020 Salomon XDR 80 Ti skis with bindings are a ton of fun for intermediate and advanced skiers who spend the majority of their time on-trail. At 80 mm underfoot, this setup is ideal for skiers who love to carve turns on the groomers but still want a bit of versatility for off-piste adventures. As a good, solid 80/20 mix, the XDR 80 Ti has a bunch of strength and stability due to the core, but it also is light, quick, and snappy thanks to the shape and profile. With tip and tail rocker, the XDR 80 eases into turns when asked, and releases playfully and consistently. While not a powder ski, the rocker profile does help when the conditions get soft. But we're really looking to the camber underfoot with this ski in order to generate the power and precision necessary to rip some sick turns on the groomers and harder snow. The skis are great at storing and releasing energy on the backside of the turn, and you'll love the snap and pop that you get out of the poplar core with the Titanal Power Plate. If that weren't enough, Salomon adds in a carbon and flax laminate to really boost the power of the skis. They're super-quick, so for moguls and tight trees, the XDR 80 Ti skis with bindings are a pretty perfect system for all-mountain adventures. It's this type of versatility that makes this ski so appealing, and while better suited for smooth snow surfaces, the build and the shape make it really fun to take elsewhere on the mountain.
